With 16GB of Dual Flash Memory, the FS21 offers both internal capacity and memory card shooting. Store over 10 hours of movies to built-in memory – or record to SD and SDHC cards, great for sharing.

Weighing around 230g, the FS21 is light enough to carry with you everywhere.

Video Snapshot mode makes it incredibly easy to create movies for sharing with friends and family. Every time the Record button is pressed, a short 4 second clip is captured. Simply add your clips to a playlist, select a soundtrack, and you’re instantly ready to play your movie on a TV – no need for editing on a PC. 4 seconds is the average length of one ‘cut’ in a TV show, helping to give your final movie an expert feel. Five rights-free tracks are pre-loaded onto the camcorder but you can also add your own music using the supplied Music Transfer Utility.

Letting you get closer to all of the action, the DIGIC DV II processor combines with the optical precision of a genuine Canon Video Lens to deliver the reach of a 45x Advanced Zoom.

In Pre REC mode, the camcorder starts recording three seconds before you even press the Record button. 3 seconds of footage are continuously stored and automatically added to the beginning of your clip from whenever you start videoing – never miss that crucial moment again.

One of the advantages of flash memory is that it requires far less power than alternative recording media, allowing you to continue shooting for longer. And, when you do need to replenish the battery, it takes just 20 minutes to recharge for an hour’s recording.

Dual Shot sets all controls to automatic, leaving you free to frame your shots. You can shoot high quality video and photos, without the bother of switching between settings on the Control Dial.

Editing and sharing your movies is simple using the supplied PIXELA™ software – whether you want to burn a DVD or convert movies for transfer to the web or your personal media player. One-touch DVD burning is possible with Canon’s DW-100 DVD Burner (available separately).
