The Olympus T-10 is a compact, entry-level digital camera based around a 1/2.3-inch type CCD image sensor with ten megapixel resolution. The T-10's imager sits behind an Olympus-branded 3x optical zoom lens that offers focal lengths ranging from a not-very-generous 36mm wide angle to a moderate 108mm telephoto. No optical or mechanical image stabilization is provided in the T-10.

The Olympus T10 combines a slim, stylish design with exceptionally easy operation. Features include the Easy Navigation function that provides simple, easy-to-understand explanations of camera modes and functions on the LCD monitor. The Intelligent Auto mode automatically detects 4 different types of scenes (Portrait, Landscape, Night Scene & Portrait, Macro) and adjusts the camera settings accordingly. So now you can start shooting at a moment's notice, without changing the shooting mode. When you're taking pictures of a moving subject, AF Tracking automatically follows the subject and optimizes focus and brightness automatically. Just press the shutter button at the moment you want to capture.The rear panel of the Olympus T-10 offers up a 2.4-inch LCD display of unspecified resolution, rather smaller than the 3.0-inch panels found on most cameras these days. This display is the only method of framing and reviewing images, since the Olympus T-10 lacks any form of optical or electronic viewfinder.

As well as still images at resolutions up to 3,648 x 2,736 pixels, the Olympus T-10 can also capture standard definition movies at VGA resolution or below, although the frame rate and audio details aren't specified. Images and movies are stored on Secure Digital or SDHC cards, but not the latest SDXC types, which are incompatible with the T-10. Power comes from a pair of AA batteries.
