Going to its innards, the Vivo Y71 ships with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 quad-core chipset clocked at 1.4GHz and coupled with Adreno 308 GPU for its graphics department. It offers 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card. The device runs on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo platform with the manufacturer's in-house FuntouchOS 4.0 interface out-of-the-box. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, microUSB 2.0, Dual SIM and USB OTG. It measures 155.87 x 75.74 x 7.8mm, weighs 150grams, and packs a 3360mAh battery.
Unlike the Vivo V-series, the Vivo Y71 did not put great emphasis on its camera optics, as what can be seen on the choice of sensors. It has a 13-megapixel rear snapper with autofocus, f/2.0 aperture, and LED flash, and a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter with f/2.2 aperture and screen flash.
